artistic process: this started with painting a colorful backdrop, resulting in a gentle and loving aura, that permeates the entire piece. Following this, a blue ink pen was used to draw the cheetah, forming an expressive sketch of the Cheetah's face, shoulders and distinctive spots. As the process continued, more and more layers were added of iridescent acrylic paint, creating shapes of color on the initial sketch, harmoniously interconnecting the piece. I collected some crystals from a river in the Dublin mountains, and glued some onto my painting in the early stages. This inspired me to glue on gold flakes later, forming a flowing, abstract piece, occasionally using posca pen for details. The pink figure represents women, and magnetic, radiant, divine feminine energy. One of my spirit animals is a cheetah, as they are ferocious, graceful, loving, and powerful, radiating the energy of beautiful strength.
